Code of Conduct on Walks
All members and their dogs are welcome as usual, but we would ask that all owners please be responsible for your own dog. DDTC will not tolerate, be held accountable or responsible for any accident, fight or unwarranted behaviour towards a member, a members dog, or a member of the public. We welcome all members and their dogs and positively urge them to come on the walks for their and their dogs benefit but we do expect owners to keep their dogs in check. We all come on the walks to socialize the dogs & have a natter with like minded people and have a good walk, but if you think your dog maybe aggressive to other dogs or you don't know how your dog will react to other dogs we do ask that you muzzle it for your dogs and others safety. If your dog is unpredictable we ask that you either keep it on a lead or a long line. Please be courteous and respect others by keeping an eye on your dog and being aware of what it's doing. If a members dog is being too problematic (for one reason or another), you will be approached by a member of the team who will politely request that you either put your dog back on a leash &/or muzzle for a period of time. This is not intended to offend anyone, it is a request to restrain your dog from getting too carried away, making a nuisance of itself &/or it being too aggressive. If the owner of a “problematic” dog is not in close proximity (for one reason or another) another member may place your dog on a lead until it is reunited with its owner & the reason why will be explained. Enjoy.
Well done to Sarge, Lexi, Toby, Monty, Ferdi and their handlers for achieving the Kennel Club Gold Award 3.2.14
Well done to Harvey, Biff and their handlers in achieving the Kennel Club Silver Award 3.2.13
